On Saturday, December 12th from 10AM-2PM (1500-1900Z) the 721st Mechanized Contest Battalion will operate a Special Event station at Thomas Stewart Park in Stewartsville, New Jersey to commemorate the first transatlantic radio transmission by Guglielmo Marconi.

We will operate that station as K2R during the event.

Our event happens to coincide with the ARRL 10 Meter Contest. We're hoping to take advantage of the extra 10 Meter on-air activity!

We plan to suspend and END-FED antenna using a kite similar to Marconi at Signal Hill, Newfoundland, Canada on December 12, 1901
